         บทเรียนย่อยที่ 1

              -     hang out (v.):                                to spend a lot of time in a place or with particular people

                                                                            (เตร็ดเตร่)

          -     mall (n.):                                        a large area where there are a lot of shops, usually a covered area where cars are not allowed (ศูนย์การค้า)

                      -     surf the Internet (v.):                     to use the Internet  (ค้นหาข้อมูลทางอินเทอร์เน็ต)

          -     practice (v.):                                 to do an activity regularly in order to improve your skill or to prepare for the test (ฝึก)

-     cell phone (n.):                            a telephone using battery that you can carry with you and

                                                               use in any place หรือเรียกว่า mobile phone (โทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่)

-     survey (n.):                                    a set of questions that you ask a large number of people in order to find out their opinions or behavior (การสำรวจ)

                      -     option (n.):                                    a thing that is or may be chosen (ตัวเลือก)

                                                               (option ของโทรศัพท์ หมายถึง การทำงานของโทรศัพท์ นอกเหนือจากการใช้รับและส่งข้อความ เช่น ถ่ายรูป ส่งข้อความสั้น ๆ ฟังเพลง ส่ง  e-mail เป็นต้น)

                      -     to give somebody a ride (v.):    to allow somebody to travel on your car (ให้ขึ้นรถไปด้วย)

-     vegetarian (n.):                            someone who eats only vegetables, bread, fruits, eggs, etc. and does not eat meat or fish

                                                               (ผู้รับประทานอาหารมังสวิรัติ)

                     -    recover (v.):                                    to get well, get back to a normal condition (ฟื้นตัว (หลังจากอาการป่วยหรือหลังจากการออกกำลังกาย))

                   -     strength (n.):                                  the quality of being strong (ความแข็งแรง, พละกำลัง)

                   -     accessory (n.):                              something that you add to a machine, tool, car, etc. so that it can do other things, or in order to make it more attractive (อุปกรณ์, เครื่องประดับตกแต่ง)

                   -     deck (n.):                                       a platform extended from one side of a ship, etc. to the other and forming the floor (ดาดฟ้าเรือ)

                   -     passion (n.):                                  a very strong feeling, especially of anger or love
(ความคลั่งไคล้, ความหลงใหล, ความโปรดปราน)

                   -     track and field (n.):                      sports such as running and jumping (กรีฑาลู่และลาน)

                   -     by chance:                                    by luck, without planning (โดยบังเอิญ)

                   -     respected (adj.):                          admired by many people because of your work, achievement, etc.  (ที่เป็นที่ชื่นชอบ)

                   -     inspiration (n.):                             a sudden good idea about what you should do, write or say (แรงบันดาลใจ)

                   -     to be an inspiration to sb (v.):    to make someone feel encouraged to be as good, successful, etc. as possible (เป็นแรงบันดาลใจ)

                   -     represent (v.):                                to speak or act on behalf of (เป็นตัวแทน)

                   -     pastime (n.):                                  something that you do because you find it enjoyable or interesting (งานอดิเรก)

                   -     accompany (v.):                            to play a musical instrument while someone else sings a song or plays the main tune (เล่นดนตรี, คลอเสียง)

                      -     โทรศัพท์มือถือออกวางจำหน่ายครั้งแรกในปลายปี ค .ศ . 1970 โดยบริษัทอิลลินอยส์ เบลล์ เทเลโฟน (Illinois Bell Telephone Company) ในเมืองชิคาโก (Chicago) ซึ่งสร้างความสำเร็จอย่างมากให้กับบริษัท

               -     Frequency adverbs ใช้เมื่อต้องการบอกว่าสิ่งต่าง ๆ เกิดขึ้นบ่อยแค่ไหน สามารถใช้ได้ทั้งประโยคที่เป็นปัจจุบัน อดีต และอนาคต   ตัวอย่าง Frequency adverbs มีดังนี้
